28 December 2010

Is there really a tugging at the heartstrings?

yes you were a crutch
peeved at your removal, but
I can walk on ice

winter tyres

snow fields exhale fog
higher than zero, new tyres
swish wet black tarmac

Alizarin (II)

Madder Rose playing
in crisp leaves, sycamore hands
redly descending

16 October 2010

And what do you do?

I guess I don't write
to understand the world; I
build oblique fences

03 October 2010

a nature loving man

he was beautiful,
moved like bog cotton dancing
swirled in autumn gusts

22 August 2010

I wish I didn't know what you were going through...

sore sore eyes and sick
sore heart. he made me love him,
it was mutual.

nothing helps heartache,
left as nothing, self slides down
he tramples shared dreams.

friends hold out their hands
but I can't touch human warmth,
it's too much contrast.

20 August 2010

beaten and left for dead

No coffin for this
love killed by your thoughtlessness;
naked mouldering.

13 August 2010

what about me? I hate waiting...

My needs ploughed under
dark soil so yours can grow, forced
to my fallow time.

12 August 2010

I don't want to plough that field anymore...

Storm tossed reeds bounce back,
"you are strong, independent,
she needs me," he pleads.

04 August 2010

the weather with you

I am too weak and
you are too tempting, please
leave like a stormcloud.

haiku n° 6 (revised)

Your words trickle in
Why did I let you? Cut not
clutch at memories...

haiku n° 5

Your seed trickles out
a wet patch; summer is due,
sunshine flew away.

haiku n° 4

You pull out of me,
drive from the hotel; litter swirls
windblown vortices.

haiku n° 3

Ripe for seeding, sun
falls on open eyes, legs, heart;
you push into me.

haiku n° 2

Yes, it is calmer
without you close, rain clouds scud
across the grey sky.

02 April 2010

haiku n° 1

Still I wish for you;
The sap rising in the trees
I will not blossom.
