Of Spiders & love

This piece was written at a Cardiff Bay writing group meeting, with the title being given by the last line of Angeline Harrison's poem "Good Gig"

You appear in the autumn
vibrant, enriching colours
brushing aside web drifts of fog

Leaf showers
abundant golds and rusts
The end, the decay was there
if I had taken breath to notice

Water globes caught in patterns
laid out in the air

Parcelling up
  Smothering threads
    preserved inside
      until you consume me

#009: roiling

Today's word selected to suit the image more than anything else. Yesterdays image was from San Diego, tarted up a little in Photoshop, and it got me looking through the other pictures I took at that time. Here, a simple crop, no trickery with Photoshop, a slice of the Pacific.

temperature

OK the Poland plans have had to be shelved due to a temperature plus cough & cold.  So I'm trying to make myself sweat by drinking (more) hot tea, hot raspberry cordial and cooking a hot chilli.  And I thought I'd have a nice warm toned New Orleans step to, think myself into sweating despite the duvet of snow outside...
